The last partner meeting of the DigMyVET project is now running at the headquarters of the project coordinator Aspire Igen Group in Bradford, UK. The partners are making final touches for the successful end of the project.

The DigMyVET project is slowly reaching its finish line. The piloting of all outputs is on the agenda in all partner's countries and so the partners had many topics to discuss at the last online meeting. We will meet once again face – to- face in Bradford, UK in the middle of May.

Partners of the DigMyVET project met again, this time online to discuss the progress of the outputs done so far. Next on the agenda is the piloting of the outputs 1 and 2. The final personal meeting will take place in Bradford.

DigMyVET! Is a 24 month Erasmus Key Action 2 project which aims to provide innovating solutions to the challenges faced by VET centres and professionals during and beyond the pandemic. The project will develop a set of tools to support sustainable digital integration in vocational education and training to help staff and learners adapt to the changes in VET learning.
Main outputs:
The Digitise my Vocational Education and Training (Dig My VET!) project was developed as part of a European wide response to the challenges faced by education and training institutes during the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. Such an unprecedented and tragic event also accelerated the much-needed digitisation of many educational institutes, but without a digital strategy in place, or any point of reference on how to implement digital changes.
In their haste, many vocational training colleges have taken a reactive, scattergun approach to digitisation viewing it as a necessity rather than a long-term strategy to be planned and integrated into existing governance and infrastructure.
This project aims to support VET learners and VET professionals to adapt to the digital transition in learning brought on by the pandemic. Through their ability to think from an increasingly digital perspective, VET professionals will be able to identify and address European ICT policy issues, by acting at local level, and will understand the bigger picture in terms of how their actions permeate up to contribute to national and European issues. This is strengthened by the peer-to-peer opportunities provided by both of the digital tools of this project, as well as being supported and given confidence by the benchmarking tool in IO2.
