T-ACT Learning Lines for Teaching Advanced Critical Thinking

T-ACT
T-ACT
  Realisation: 2022-2025

With the T-ACT project we want to improve competences of educators and learners resilience leading to their active social engagement.

We will come up with a model for teaching competences for active citizenship and information literacy (a combination of conventional, numeracy and digital literacy, and critical thinking). The partnership involving organizations from Belgium, Bulgaria, Portugal and the Czech Republic will cooperate to produce comprehensive learning lines for the two priority domains and map them across the target curriculum. We will provide teaching support and digital learning resources.

12.06.2025 The New IMPACTO Tool by the T-ACT Project Helps Teachers Develop Information Literacy and Critical Thinking

The innovative IMPACTO tool offers new ways to approach information literacy, critical thinking, and disinformation in education. Through a wide range of real and fictional scenarios, it demonstrates how certain situations can unfold and what impact they may have—both on individuals and on society as a whole.

Interactive Work with Scenarios and Competences

IMPACTO links specific scenarios to key competences and highlights the potential consequences on both personal and systemic levels. Users can select one or more competences and view related scenarios that can be used in the classroom. Alternatively, they can focus on particular social systems and explore scenarios that may negatively affect them.

Filtering Based on Teaching Needs

The tool allows combinations of competences and social systems to be selected, enabling teachers to quickly and efficiently find the most suitable scenarios for their specific educational goals. IMPACTO supports deeper understanding of complex societal issues and strengthens students’ ability to think critically about the world around them.

More information about the IMPACTO tool and how to use it in education is available on our website t-act.eu/impacto-tool-main

14.05.2024 A competence model for advanced critical thinking

KThe competence model is one of the first outputs of the ERASMUS+ project and graphically shows the representation of two main thematic areas, i.e. active citizenship and information literacy in the teaching of critical thinking. The competence model will be followed up in the projects by other outputs for use in schools.
