Project
  Realisation: 2022–2024

Project 3D Printing is focused on establishing an international digital community of VET schools and other educational organizations gathered in the issue of the creating the 3D printable Projects.

Project 3D Printing targets at increasing technical skills and digital competences of VET students through the implementation of the new learning approaches while applying 3D printing in education. 3D printers are up-to-date technologies in today's digital and technological world. Project partners found out that schools are using 3D printers especially for printing of ready-to-print 3D models. Project specified the need to foster VET schools to use 3D printers’ great potential and enhance the schools to develop their own 3D Projects: this innovative learning approach increases students’ technical competences reflecting technological trends and labour market needs.

In the project, we would like to link work-based learning activities, the creation of the new 3D projects with raising students awareness and comprehending the EU common values: therefore VET students will have a challenge to develop and object of 3D model on the topic of an EU Cultural (Craft) Heritage.

24.04.2024 Results presentation

On April 22, 2024, a presentation of the results of the 3D printing project took place in the UPrint 3D building at the Palacký University in Olomouc. This presentation was attended by secondary school teachers and students who actively contributed to the creation of 3D models on the topic of cultural (craft) heritage of the EU within the Czech Republic. The Secondary School for the Hearing Impaired in Valašské Meziříčí, the Secondary Industrial School in Přerov and the Higher Vocational School and the Secondary Industrial School of Electrical Engineering in Olomouc were involved in the project.

The presentation began with a tour of the UPrint 3D workplace, which is located in the Science and Technology Park of the Palacký University in Olomouc. UPrint 3D uses the most modern technologies for 3D printing from metals, thermoplastics, photopolymers and paper. During the visit to the specialized UPrint 3D center, the students got to know the printers, technologies and materials used by the center.

After the excursion, the students presented to each other their printed 3D models, which they worked on intensively during the project. All participants had the opportunity to view these models and at the same time exchange their knowledge and experience gained during work on the 3D printing project.

At the end, the students received certificates and a small gift for their work and the results of the 3D print project.

18.10.2023 The second meeting in Velenje

In Velenje, Slovenia, on September 20 and 21, 2023, the second meeting of the partners involved in the 3D Printing project took place. This meeting was particularly interesting as it brought together not only the project partners but also teachers actively engaged in the project, collaborating with their students to create 3D models.

It was a pleasure to meet this enthusiastic group of teachers, working hand in hand with their students to enhance their 3D skills. During the meeting, the students showcased their final 3D models, providing us with an opportunity to engage in discussions with both teachers and students regarding their positive experiences and the challenges they encountered along the way. One of the memorable highlights was the school tour, which allowed us to explore most of the classrooms. Overall, this meeting was filled with unforgettable experiences.

13.06.2023 Euroface Consulting has purchased a 3D printer

As part of the 3D Printing project, Euroface Consulting purchased a 3D printer, which is available to all schools involved in the 3D Printing project. The 3D printer will allow students to transfer their models into practice, verify how the practical transfer works and the finished product is a reward for the effort devoted to the development of 3D models

14.06.2023 Visiting the secondary school for the hearing impaired in Valašské Meziříčí

The first school involved in the 3D printing project is a secondary school for the hearing impaired in Valašské Meziříčí. On May 31, 2023, we took the opportunity to visit the school and greet all the gifted students who are actively involved in the project.

It was great to meet a bunch of enthusiastic young people who shared 3D printing ideas with us. We discussed their ideas with individual students and selected the final 3D modules..
