The European round of the Skills Plus competition is currently taking place in the Czech Republic. A total of 10 European countries supposed to take part in the final round of the competition, which was originally scheduled to take place in Burgh-Haamstede, the Netherlands, but the global problem with Covid-19 forced the international competition to be canceled and organized online.

We are again honored to cooperate with MŠ, ZŠ and high schoolfor the hearing impaired in Valašské Meziříčí, which provided us with facilities and a venue for the competition.

The development of the epidemiological situation in Europe is unfavorable and therefore the national competitions of the Skills + project were gradually planned for the beginning of 2021.

In cooperation with the Secondary School for the Hearing Impaired in Valašské Meziříčí and despite unfavorable conditions, we managed to organize the first national round of the Skills + competition, which took place on October 7, 2020.

Students competed in the fields of ICT and gardener. The judges selected the best teams of competitors who will represent the Czech Republic at the European finals of the skills competition in the Netherlands.

We are preparing the national round Skills+ competition, which will take place on October 7, 2020 in the premises of MŠ, ZŠ a SŠ for the hearing impaired in Valašské Meziříčí.

We really appreciate the long-term cooperation and support of the school and we hope that the situation with Covid-19 will not interrupt the start of the competition, which everyone is looking forward to.

We are very proud that this year we can again announce cooperation with the primary schools for the hearing impaired in Valašské Meziříčí.

Last week was held in Palermo, Italy, second partners meeting of the project Skills.

Where we talked about the status of the project and what to do next! The Skills Plus competitions are competitions for teams and guarantee an unforgettable experience! Both individual and team skills play a part in the competitions and reflect the current situation on the labour market.

Download the first issue of the Skills Project Newsletter, which provides basic information about the project and the C1 training that took place in the Netherlands in July 2019.

In the period from 15.7 to 19.7. 2019 the C1 Skills + training was held in Burgh-Hamsteede, the Netherlands. To ensure that all new partners, contestants, mentors / coaches, and all stakeholders are well prepared for the contest, a week-long training was held with the help of the experienced partners of the Skills + project

Participants learned about the history of the contest and discussed practical issues related to competitions. The Czech Republic was represented by the teachers of the Secondary School for the Hearing Impaired in Valašské Meziříčí, where they already have experience with competitions for disabled students and look forward to participating in a new project.
